Mobile Sunbears

  • Mobile Sunbears (mobile.sunbears.com) is a free progressive web application that users can access straight from the web browser on their mobile device. This addition to our system gives users access to expanded features for players and staff alike.

With different add-ons purchased, you can get unique features of Mobile Sunbears, including:

    - Adding & Viewing Team Schedule

    - Training Sessions Monitoring (Execute feature)

    - Submitting & Viewing Session Attendance: Irregular Attendance & Absence

    - Daily Surveys: Condition, RPE, Mood Scale

    - Viewing Team Content Library: Drills, Plans, Playbooks

    - Communication via Live chat & Session-Specific Chat

Why should your team use it? Well, perhaps you can benefit from the increased communication and condition tracking that Mobile Sunbears offers, as well as the ability to access team contents from even the comfort of your own bed.

Why not try out Mobile Sunbears to get more out of your experience? It’s free with your account!

  • Not at all! Mobile Sunbears is accessible to all of our users, regardless of whether they are on Freemium (which never expires), single function add-ons, or All-in-One bundle add-on (without any long-term contract). There's no need to download anything extra. However, features that are exclusively available to paid members on the Desktop site will be available on the mobile app as well. Nevertheless, all Sunbears users can use whatever features are included in their add-on subscriptions.

  • Nope, no download is required to use Mobile Sunbears as long as you have a web browser installed on your mobile device (Safari, Chrome, etc.). Mobile Sunbears can be accessed from the browser of your preference, but as always, Sunbears is optimized for the best user experience in Google Chrome.

  • Events can now be added and edited both using our desktop and mobile versions.

To add events on mobile, login to your account at mobile.sunbears.com, click Schedule, and click the date you wish to add a session for, or the + button. Fill in the requested information (fields marked with * are required), and click save!

To edit events on mobile, (which is also only accessible for users with the role that allows editing events on the PC version), click on the event in the Schedule window, then click on the edit pencil icon in the top right corner, and finally click "SAVE CHANGES."

  • The consistency with which players should respond to their daily reports is ultimately up to the team staff. Survey submissions are not technically required for Sunbears to operate properly for your team. Of course, the best data is complete data, and so coaches and trainers likely want to know of their player's condition daily. Please communicate with your team about whether or not you wish for them to submit everyday.

  • On mobile.sunbears.com, our smartphone web application, there is no drill draw feature but users may view and animate existing drills.

Additionally, while accessing admin.sunbears.com through your smartphone browser and using the drill function is technically possible, it is not recommended. The drill draw feature is designed to work best with a tablet or computer; users may struggle to operate the small icons on a smartphone screen.

  • Users can view chat both on the Mobile Sunbears web app, and on the Sunbears desktop site.

    On Mobile Sunbears:

    1. Session-Specific Chat - to view chat for a certain session, see the Event Chat menu, or click on the event in your notifications tab.

    2. Live Chat (defined chat rooms) - to view our new chat rooms, see the Live Chat menu.

    On Desktop (session-specific chat only):

Click the relevant session on the Schedule page, and the chat will be seen on the right-side half of the event session window. Messages can be both viewed and sent from this window.

  • If you are a staff member with access to view player statistics, you can view the results of daily reports on the Player Statistics page (under Statistics) on the desktop version of Sunbears.

Daily report types visible include Condition, Health, Attendance, and sRPE.

  • Sending notifications about schedule changes is done on the desktop version of Sunbears. On your Schedule page (the calendar), click event you wish to change. Edit the event as you need, and then click the checkbox at the top of the window that says "Notify My Team." By clicking this checkbox, the system will alert all relevant members that an aspect about the schedule has changed, visible in Notifications on mobile.sunbears.com. Change alerts are also visible by viewing the desktop schedule, indicated with a red bell icon on the event.

  • This notice may pop up if you've created an account, but haven't verified your email or joined a team. Please complete these steps before logging into the the Sunbears mobile web application.
